WHAT IS PROTEIN?
In nutritional terms, protein is one of the three primary macronutrients our bodies need to survive. It's a major part of who you are, and the same goes for every other living thing. Proteins have existed on earth for billions of years and are the primary building blocks of most forms of life, from the simplest bacteria to the most sophisticated life forms. Your muscles are 75% water and 25% Protein. Your water intake is very important as well as your protein intake to change the composition of your body.
WHAT DO OUR BODIES USE PROTEIN FOR?
If you want to change your body from fat to fit Protein is the #1 Macro Nutrient that you need to get the right amount calculated into your diet. It plays a role in virtually everything that goes on in your body and it helps to change the composition of your body the most.. In your blood, it transports oxygen throughout your body. It builds and repairs tissue (including muscle tissue) and makes enzymes, hormones, and other body chemicals. It is also a fundamental building block of bones, cartilage, organs, skin, blood, hair, and nails. High-protein diets can also help you lose unwanted weight. "Not only will this extra protein help you build more lean muscle, it will also diminish your appetite, making you less apt to cave in to cravings.
DO MEN AND WOMEN NEED THE SAME AMOUT OF PROTEIN?
Men often consume much more per day than women, but this is generally due to the fact that men tend to weigh more than women. A 150-pound woman would need to consume the same amount of protein as a 150-pound man, assuming they both had the same physical goals in mind.
Women and men are far more similar than they are different, both genetically and in terms of their nutritional needs. This applies to all other nutrients as well.
HOW DO I MEASURE PROTEIN? (BIG TIP OF THE DAY!!)
This is the question everyone want to know and we have a simple process. To keep track of your food on a food scale is a great practice to help you achieve your fitness goals. There is a certain amount of protein each person need depending on their goals and body type. When you are Measure your macros you want to convert them into OUNCES on the scale. Do not measure in grams just ounces only to keep it simple. There are about 7 g of protein in 1 ounce of cooked meat. So for example 4 ounces of raw boneless skinless chicken breast yields about 3 ounces of cooked chicken, or 21 g of protein. 1 ounce of cooked meat equals 7 grams of protein. We Believe in training with intensity but at your pace with resistance training. We are also huge fans of full body training working all major muscle groups. We focus on maximizing fat loss and building muscle. You will be WITH A TRAINER 3 days per week with a systematic program to help you burn fat, tone up, and see results fast. We will track your progress and help you to improve, avoid plateaus and keep seeing permanent results far past the program.
We will sit down with you and make your own custom meal plan. Digital so you can have it right in your phone. Exactly what you need, given your body, schedule, and food preferences, so it is not only doable but enjoyable. We will map out your grocery store list and get rid of guesswork. We also direct you on the best supplements to take to get the best results for the body and your goals. Their are multiple ways to reach your goals and we are going to help you choose the correct way to set you up for success!
You will have us in the gym while you are working out and you will also be able to contact your accountability coach whenever you need help, tips, advice, or just someone to give you extra encouragement. We are solely here to help YOU succeed. We also have weekly check-in to keep track of progress and congratulate you on your success and keep you on track.
